This is honestly one of the coolest ideas I've seen in a while that I am truly excited about. Digital media are not new but the way we view has already been done, via a computer, cell phone or some sort of media device.
More Info after the jump.
Visiting Popular Science I saw this article that was about its vision on the future of magazine's. The article focuses on taking the next step with digital media, with its main focus is magazonines. Developed by Bonnier’s R&D group with design firm BERG, its a new way to view magazine's.The ever present tangible feel of magazines is what I percieve most people uknowingly appreciate about it and the evocation of a relaxed state when engaging in an article. Classic and timeless covers from popular magazines can be remembered even til now and its memory that was created through magazines.
You can view the article in popular science here.
Or you can watch the video of said device here.

I am truly excited about this technology the ability to view vibrant pictures, spreads , and content of magazines and read them on the go. Its slim profile, ergonomic shape, user friendly interface, the intuitiveness of the layout and the view screen, keeping it simple while providing a new form of technology.
One the biggest issues that crosses my mind is battery life and charging. Batteries, especially for portable devices are essential. The great thing about printed media, it requires no batteries and is easily a disposable. Portable digital devices require hours upon hours of charging in its life span. But as the iPod touch and iPhone have not hurdeled these boundaries completely, ultimately they have still created a pleasurable and sought after device. I think this device can do the same thing, its only hurdle is making sure it do this quickly before already competitors like Apple with the iphone, and Sony with its digital eReader capitilize on the market with this.
