Homework 3

So for homework 3 we had to create 3 more box models. See below.
Couch

Wii Console

Lamp Post

Textured square

Square texture 2

We also learned about textures, UV Mapping and using Photoshop to edit these things. Here is my attempt at it.

Homework 1

So for my first homework assignment I had to draw 2 items with in my apt using only duplicated cubes. I think i did pretty well. I chose square items to models, to make my life easier.

So what do I wanna gain out of this class (3-D Urban Modelling Design).

I am currently an undergraduate research with NYSCEDII's motion based simulation lab. So a lot the work they do there is more simulation and than traditional mechanical engineering but there are both intertwined. The current environment they have is pretty cool but I am hoping to learn some new things to help aid in upgrading the driving simulation environment. I am also interested in graphics and simulation for my own personal use. The things that can be created with 3-D modelling software is pretty awesome. My interests lies within in the automotive field and drafting and modelling in 3-D is a useful tool to streamline research and development and  manufacturing.

Research Project

So this is the IP that is suppose to go within the driving simulator on campus.

My research is into the integration of this this piece with that motion base simulation and all the coding, fabrication and retrofitting that goes along with it.

Back at it again

So I have been off this blog for a long time. Its been over a year. I've been uber busy with classes and clubs, and research and now its the summer and I'm still doing research and classes. No clubs. In any case Just a quick update. I am going to be applying to graduate school soon and I am done my undergraduate career minus one social science course required by ABET.

Next steps ummm Graduate school then work.

This blog will be used to talk about my design work briefly but shall be more freelance as I see fit. I am also using this to help showcaes my 3-D modelling design work in my urban design class. Should be fun. We are using Autodesk Maya and I've seen some cool stuff created with it.
